About Us
“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it.”

Grounded Life is a collaborative space for learning, practice and connection. We believe meaningful and sustainable growth doesn’t happen in isolation. It asks us to stay connected to our roots, to one another, and to the wider systems and environments we are part of.

Hannah Goodman is the Founder and Director of Grounded Life and creator of the Grounded Breathwork Facilitation Training, a GPBA-certified school supporting people to develop their skills in ethical, trauma-informed and embodied breathwork facilitation.
Hannah has been working with breathwork since 2016 and has spent the past decade learning, practising and teaching within the evolving field of modern breathwork. Her work has been shaped by breathwork, somatic and body-based practices, trauma studies, movement and embodied approaches, alongside an ongoing interest (and responsibility) to learning around decolonial practice and healing.
Her training and continued learning include Alchemy of Breath, Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release, Core Energetics, Myofascial Energetic Release (MER), Somatic Abolitionism with Resmaa Menakem, respiratory health massage with the Jing Institute, Chi Nei Tsang, Myofascial Energetic Release (MER) and studies in intergenerational trauma.
Through Grounded Life, Hannah is interested in depth over speed, creating learning pathways that recognise becoming a facilitator as an ongoing practice. Her work brings together breath, body, relationship and environment, while making space for both individual and collective learning.
Collaboration sits at the heart of her approach:
“Breathwork was never meant to be held in isolation and so much of what I value has been shaped through learning, building and growing alongside others.”

Hannah works passionately with individuals and groups to explore their breath and inner resources for increased emotional and physical wellbeing. She recognises the breath not only as the foundation on which our lives are built, but when consciously applied, as a vehicle for self-empowerment that can support greater health, awareness and connection.
She brings a particular depth to voice work, supporting students to explore their own voice and develop confidence and presence in their breathwork facilitation.
If you would like to find out more about working with Hannah for one-to-one or group sessions, please get in touch.

Sujeewa facilitates both online and in-person sessions at Holding Space, a wellness space in Cape Town centring melanated wellbeing. She is also a Breathing Space teacher and Grounded Life breathwork mentor.
Born in Sri Lanka, Sujeewa has moved like water across continents—from Sri Lanka to the Netherlands, and now lives in Cape Town, South Africa. She facilitates in both English and Dutch, and finds nourishment in nature immersions: hiking the mountains, cycling the trails and dipping into the ocean.
